How does bidding work?
When placing a bid please note that the amount placed is the amount that will be
immediately bid/ shown irrespective of what the previous bid was. Therefore if an item has a
current bid of say £10 and you place a bid for £1000 the actual bid placed for the item will be
£1000 (not £20 or £12 or in any increments whatsoever – ie the amount placed or bid (£1000) will
be the amount paid (£1000) unless outbid before the end of auction)
What is a reserve price?
The minimum prices the seller is prepared to sell the item for
What is a a BIN or buy it now price?
This is the price that the seller is willing to accept immediately. Please note that you must contact the seller directly for this option
Is that the only charge?
Yes, we are not an auction website – we simply advertise your
item for a one off fee with no hidden extras
How long does the advert last for?
28 Days with the Option to re-list should it be required
Is there a re-list fee?
There is no re-listing fee and your add will be posted for a further 14 days
Do I have to sell my item through Antique Arms Trader?
No we simply host the advertisement for you which means NO
commission charges!!!
Can I have a link to my business website?
Yes, but we would like a link back, and have the right to remove the link at anytime
How long does it take for my item to be listed on-line?
Currently this can take up to 24 hours however in practice this happens in a considerable shorter period
of time. As this is a site for Antique items only, all items listed are review before being listed
What items can I sell?
Any antique arms, armour or militaria this is not a site for surplus items

and Edged Weapons such as Bayonets, Swords, Dirks, Hangers and Daggers etc.
Will my items be listed on sites such as google?
Antique Arms Trader have gone to great lengths to ensure that the design of the
website enables each advert to be visible by the search engines
Can you guarantee my item will be visible on google?
It is impossible to say what information google uses to display on it’s website,
however, we have developers constantly watching out for changes in google requirements
which can change daily!
Is this the only way Antique Arms Trader are advertising their site?
No, we have over 50 years of Antique Militaria experience and we are renowned throughout
the world, and go to many of the Militaria shows such as the London Arms Fair, Bisley
and Birmingham Arms Fair at the Motor Cycle museum, just to name a few, as well
as constant visits to the continent, United States, Australia and New Zealand, hence
we will be promoting it as often as possible along with relevant google pay per
click campaigns
Why was this site set-up?
Constant problems with other websites such as eBay where trading is being prohibited
yet not illegal
